Ready to open a second location?
Here are some cool things me and my team supported clients with last month:

And today I want to talk about that first win a little bit: opening a second location.
In addition to one client who I am actively working with on this goal, I have had convos with 2 other biz owners recently about expansion. I love it.
But thereโs def a right way and a wrong(ish) way to go about opening a second location. So letโs talk about one of your first steps, if youโre considering thisโฆ. ๐ค
Well, I need you to ask yourself a few questions.. most importantly - are you ready to take on a completely different role in your biz?
No, really.
Because if I had to guess, youโre probably doing a lot of โIโm the bossโ-type tasks in your business now.
๐ You set goals.
๐ฐ You bring in new work.
๐ You let people go when they are no longer a fit for your organization.
But youโre probably also doing some of this stuff tooโฆ
๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธPrep or data-entry type work on client files.
โOnboarding new clients.
๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธPreparing your own invoices.
Believe me - this is what everyone does - including me.
I am not perfect at asking my team to help with all of the tasks I really shouldnโt be doing. (Case in point, Iโm prepping this blog post lolโฆ.)
But Iโm also not looking at a massive business expansion that has the potential to take me to multiple 7-figures in revenue. Yet.
So, if you donโt want things like
** 80hr work weeks,
** client churn, and
** an under-skilled team when you open that second office,
your first step is to get really honest with yourself about โญ matching your words/dreams up with your actions.โญ
But how, you ask?
A Daily Time Audit.
(And if youโre a client of mine who has done this before, I invite you to join me in doing this again. Iโm re-doing it too.)
1๏ธโฃ Grab a piece of paper and a pen.
2๏ธโฃ Youโre going to make 4 columns like so:
3๏ธโฃ Then, youโre gonna have a bunch of rows where youโre going to input your details into Columns 1 and 2. Basically, go row by row and be as detailed as possible.
For example, 8:15am Draft IG stories in Google Docs, 8:45am Post IG stories, 9:25am Email to Client X, 9:45am Team payments, etc.
Fill this chart out for 2 - 3 days. Youโll most likely have 10-20 rows for each day. I know. A lot.
4๏ธโฃ Then, set some time aside, grab a tea and review. For each row, I need you to answer the questions in Columns 3 and 4.
For example:
โฃ Could I have delegated the drafting of my IG stories in Google Docs to someone else? No. Next row.
โฃ Could I have delegated the posting of my IG stories to someone else? Yes. Go to Column 4.
โฃ Am I willing to delegate this task now? Actually, yes.
Go, row by row, and ask yourself these questions.
Your goal is to identify at least 2 - 3 tasks that you could delegate or outsource to someone else. You might even find some tasks that you are taking off your list and no one has to do them. Thatโs fine too.
